Rock-a-Bye Baby Girl Baby Shower

This shower was so much fun to put together! The couple LOVE music and we knew that this would be the best theme for them!  The invitation set the theme. We went with a combination of black and white herringbone with pops of hot pink  for the Rockin' Baby Girl that was about to join the world!

The back of the invite was a hot pink and white herringbone and the invites were sent off in black envelopes with custom herringbone address labels.

 

As a party game, we had guests fill out Mad Lib to be used for a scrap book with mementos from the shower.  Notice the pink Pop Rocks and rock and roll duckies as decoration and little favors.

 

The guests had a great time filling out the Mad Libs and they were displayed on strings hung up over the table. 

 

Did you know that Duck tape comes in a million patterns? Its such an easy way to bring the theme to some water bottles!

 

More black and white goodies with another rockin' ducky. Nice hair.

We set up a backdrop for people to pose in front of! The props and blow up guitars were a favorite of both the young and old!

 

Of course we had to have pink cupcakes! We dressed them up with black cupcake wrappers and custom flags to match the theme.

We all had such a great time! It was a fun way to celebrate the couple and their new little rocker coming very soon.

Little Gator - Preppy Navy and Green Baby Shower

A little prep meets a Little Gator! Stripes, polka dots and the cutest little alligator make this invitation a super sweet way to celebrate the little boy on the way as well as his mama!

The navy and green make the alligator pop off the page but different colors could be customized for this adorable invite!

I could also see this making for a cute birthday invitation. A different animal could be showcased as well!

Ahoy! It's a Boy!

A nautical themed nursery was in the works for a special little boy so of course all hands on deck to plan a nautical themed baby shower! Red, white and navy were the stars in these invites to set the stage for a fun day for the mama-to-be!

 

When the little skipper made his appearance, well there needed to be stationery to match the shower and nursery! Two different designs made up the stationery suite.

Then as a added bonus...decor for the nursery including a birth announcement.

Are you looking to celebrate an expectant football lover in your life? I designed this VIP Ticket for a Panther's fan to celebrate her Baby Sprinkle. It features the official team colors and the football sports the Panther. This would be fun for any team! I could see college teams as well! 

Why stop at football? I could see baseball or basketball as well! Little forwards and Little Pitchers need to be celebrated as well!  This would be great for couples showers and birthdays!

Sports Theme Baby Shower Ideas

Yesterday's post with the Sports Themed Baby Shower invitation got me thinking about what that kind of shower might look like in real person.  Here is the invitation...

I rounded up some ideas that you could use to throw your OWN sports themed shower.  I rounded up some of the best things I saw on Pinterest and linked you to the source.

Food & Snacks:

I'm thinking you could go really easy with some hot dogs and hamburgers for the menu. But if you wanted to get a little fancier maybe you could make some sliders

I thought these wraps for Gatorade or Powerade were really clever - perhaps some lovey dovey 'nutrition facts' for the other side? Or they could be dressed up with the parents picture or last name?

Gifts and favors:

A banner of sports themed onesies of the parents favorite teams or schools would be both a decoration and a gift!  Perhaps a personalized onesie for the parents...

OH BOY! Sports Theme Baby Shower

I made this invitation for a mama who loves her sports! I may have went to college with the mother so I couldn't resist sneaking a little bit of Indiana onto the football (though that really isn't what IU is known for). If you like the idea of featuring the mom and/or dad's school it could be customized to whichever school you like!

Little Monkey Baby Shower

This invite design started based on the baby boy's nursery bedding and decor. The bedding was blue, green and brown and featured a dots and circles design. The mommy-to-be also has an affinity for monkeys so it all came together in a cute design for this baby shower. This would also look cute in pink with a pink bow for the monkey.

Elephant L-O-V-E

I made this darling invitation for a baby shower honoring a mommy who is a HUGE Alabama fan! The hostesses wanted to bring that into the theme but not over the top. Well what is an Alabama themed party without Elephants?! Not the fierce kind, but the cute and loving kind. In included a Alabama-esque logo in the heart.

I could see this done in other school colors/logos. Also I could make this invite more gender specific:

Little Pumpkin Baby Shower

This is actually a baby shower that I hosted for my friend, Tara, last fall. Personally I can't think of a better theme for an October shower than Welcome Little Pumpkin. It was so fun to be able to work the lively color palette into everything. We used lime green, purple, orange and then black and white. Here are some pictures of the printed creations I made for the party as well as some of the decorations...

I created this poster out of baby pictures that the guests provided to me - we called it "who's that girl"

I created this poster that had the baby-to-be's last name highlighted in the alphabet, there was another poster with BABY highlighted.
