Jenny J Cook Events Logo Design
Jenny Cook has started her wedding/event planning business in Charlotte, NC. She is a fun and modern type of girl and wanted her business and logo to reflect that. Black, yellow and gray are her favorite colors and she wanted those as well as her signature asterisk incorporated into the look.

Little Pumpkin Baby Shower
the invitations were in a gatefold folder closed with a black and white ribbon
I created this poster out of baby pictures that the guests provided to me - we called it "who's that girl"
I created this poster that had the baby-to-be's last name highlighted in the alphabet, there was another poster with BABY highlighted.
place setting at the table - wrapped the silverware in the napkin and closed the packet up with scrapbook paper and a label that said "Little Pumpkin". The favors were baby bottles filled with candy corn that also had labels with "Tara's Shower" and the date written on them.

Passport to Love
All aboard for a wedding trip of a lifetime! This couple is always on the go - America, Europe, Asia and everywhere in between. They wanted wedding invitations that set the tone for a global celebration. In comes the Wedding Passport. The invitation itself was set up in a passport booklet form and the response was a postcard with an air mail feel.
When you opened the booklet, on the left was the information page featuring a picture of the couple and important wedding date details.
On the right hand side was the actual invitation...
Subsequent pages featured information about the reception and accommodations as well as directions.
If you have a destination wedding in mind or want to add a global flair to your wedding these are a perfect fit!

Baby-Q!
Beachy Theme for a special Bride
Red, white and blue for two
This shower was thrown on July 4th - without going too far into the americana theme, a nice red, white and blue theme was a nice homage to the importance of the day...

Kim and Drew - Wedding Programs
In a previous post, I showed you Kim and Drew's wedding invitations. Kim came to me for their wedding programs as well. Since the ceremony was going to be outside, she wanted to do paddle fans for the programs. I created a double sided fan - one side featured the ceremony and the other side had the wedding party and special messages to the guests.
The programs feature the same tree decoration from the invitation as well as the green metallic paper. A cornflower blue ribbon sets off the fan's handle perfectly.

Kim and Drew are Married
When planning the invitations for Kim and Drew's wedding, they asked me to create the invitations in a way that would reflect the Legare-Waring House, the beautiful location in Charleston, SC where their wedding was to take place. They were to be married under a row of low country oak trees dripping with spanish moss so I wanted to put those trees onto the invitation. Kim had picked blue and green for their wedding colors and we put that into their invitation with a square, cornflower blue pocketfold and metallic green paper and envelopes. Each insert for the invitation featured the tree design.

Paisley Surprise
This invitation has a fun and summery feel to it. Perfect for your special occassion. This has wording for a surprise party but it could easily be made into a shower or other party invite.
Its a surprise graduation party!
These parents wanted to surprise their grad with a party to celebrate the end of her schooling with a big party. This two sided invitation is a fun way to show off pictures of the guest of honor as she has grown up. (she can kill ya later!) Even without the mortar board these invitations would be fun party invites.

Pink and Blue Paisley Invite
These are such fun and festive invitations for a Bridesmaids Luncheon. I think they would also be good for a Bridal or Baby Shower.

Baby Announcements - Ty
Another z-fold announcement for Ty's happy arrival into the world. Ty's nursery is all out nautical themed and his mom wanted that to be displayed in his birth announcement. We have sailboats, life preservers, oars and rope. No missing the theme here. I matched the colors to his cute little outfit on the front cover.
In addition to the birth announcement I also designed a coordinating invitation for a Sip and See party and personalized stationery for Ty (okay for Mom) to write thank you notes on.

Birth Announcement - Emerson
Its Baby Announcement week at the rkDesigns blog!
I designed these cute baby announcements for Emerson's arrival into the world. Not only does this family have a new baby, but they moved at the same time. They wanted to make both announcements to family and friends at the same time. This z-fold announcement is a perfect design for when you have more than one thing to announce or to show off all the siblings at once.

Meaghan and Andrew - the invitation suite
I created Meaghan & Andrew's Save the Dates, so I was familiar with the fun and fresh color combo they had chosen. We paired a bright tiffany blue with a poppy red. The simple monogram at the top of each printed piece makes a bold statement and ties the wedding together with a theme.
The invitation suite included a 5x7" invitation printed on premium white cardstock, a RSVP postcard (self mailer) and a business sized lodging card to highlight their wedding website. All of this was mailed in a tiffany blue envelope.

For the wedding and reception, I designed table name cards which highlighted the many places across the world that Meaghan and Andrew have travelled to. I also designed escort cards and then a simple wedding program for their casual service.
